West End woman arrested, charged with multiple felonies

A West End woman is facing multiple felony charges after an investigation by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields says Brandy Marie Scarboro, 40, of West End, was arrested on May 15, 2024. The MCSO says the arrest is in connection with an assault that occured on May 14, 2024 involving an elderly man at a residence in West End. The man was transported to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital for his injuries. His condition was not released.

Scarboro was charged with one count of felony assault by strangulation, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, felony abuse of a disabled or elder person, felony neglect of a disabled or elder person, and one count of felony second degree kidnapping. She was places in the Moore County Detention Center without bond pending an appearance in Moore County District Court.
