The driver of a Ford Ranger pick-up truck was arrested after crashing on Tarry Church Road about a mile south of Highway 24/27.

First responders were dispatched just before 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, arriving to the scene of the truck overturned on its driver’s side.

A helicopter was put on standby, but cancelled when Moore County EMS arrived and the driver refused medical attention.

According to N.C. Highway Patrol, the driver was speeding around a curve, went off the opposite side of the road, hit a mailbox, and then over corrected. The truck rolled over at least once.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office arrested the driver for an unrelated warrant.

Troopers say the crash will result in several charges for the driver, including speeding and driving with a suspended license.

Tarry Church Road was closed while emergency crews were on the scene.
