A crash involving two vehicles along Sand Pit Road sent one person to the hospital Sunday afternoon.

The collision happened around 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Serenity Lane, near Roseland Road.

Troopers told Moore County News at the scene the driver of a Chevy Impala was stopped to turn left onto Serenity Lane when it was rear-ended.

The driver of the Impala was transported to the hospital with injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening. The other driver refused treatment at the scene.

Firefighters from Pinebluff reduced Sand Pit Road to one lane, and directed traffic around the scene.
