A person was transported to the hospital after they crashed into a barn near Carthage on Sunday night.

N.C. Highway Patrol tells Moore County News the driver of a Honda Civic was traveling on Stage Road towards Union Church Road, when they went off the right side of the road, through a wooded area and collided with a barn.

First responders initially requested Air Care, and set up a landing zone at Priest Hill Road. Once paramedics arrived on scene and evaluated the driver, they determine Air Care was not needed, and transported them to Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
