One person was being airlifted from the Westmoore Elementary School baseball field after a crash involving what was reported to be a dirt bike along Westside Road north of Robbins. The crash happened Sunday around 4 p.m.

Firefighters arrived on scene to a male laying on the side of the road with injuries that included road rash. Witnesses say he was riding a dirt bike with a group of others when the crash happened.

The injured male was transported by ambulance to the baseball field at Westmoore Elementary School, where a helicopter was waiting to airlift him to a trauma center.

There is no word on the his condition, or the cause of the cause of the crash.
