Multiple fire departments from all over Moore County responded to a house on Weather Branch Lane in Jackson Springs, after the homeowner called 9-1-1 to report his porch was on fire on Saturday morning.
Thanks to West End Fire & Rescue manning the close by Foxfire station, the fire was knocked down quickly after firefighters arrived. The house was spared from major damage, only melted siding was seen on the side of the house, and from the ceiling of the car port.
The homeowner told crews he threw pots filled with water on the fire until they were able to arrive.
