A driver in Eagle Springs escaped with minor injuries after crashing into a power pole on Thursday night.

The collision happened along Eagle Springs road in a sharp curve between N.C. Highway 211 and Eaglewood Lane.

According to N.C. State Highway Patrol, the female driver was traveling west to Highway 211 and was not familiar with the road. She did not see the curve as she approached, crossed the center line and into the power pole on the opposite side of the road. The impact to the pole caused it to break and fall.
