A unit from Moore County EMS was involved in a collision on Wednesday in front of Union Pines High School. Moore County News saw only minor damage to the two vehicles involved and no injuries resulted from the impact.

The crash happened just before 8:30 a.m. on Union Church Road at the intersection with Farm Life School Road. The N.C. State Highway Patrol says a young man was stopped in his Ford Explorer at the intersection, went to turn left onto Union Church Road and did not see the ambulance approaching on Union Church Road.

Both vehicles were removed from the roadway. The driver of the Explorer was cited for failure to yield.
